In the Stars July 25-August 1, 2021...shining light on the astrology of the week
The Sun now shines in Leo, its’ ruling sign where it is strong. Leo symbolizes courage, confidence, generosity, entertainment, children, and play. It is time to kick back on a fun midsummer vacation. Venus has now moved into Virgo for the next three weeks, encouraging us to put order in our life and get it into shipshape.

Sunday holds some less-than-holy aspects that may make us prone to anger and arguments (Mercury square Eris; Mercury opposite Pluto; Moon opposite Mars). You can use the edgy energy positively by working on solving a big problem or thoroughly researching something. The day ends on a softer note with the Moon moving into Pisces at 8:29 p.m. and then joining Jupiter, giving sweet dreams.
A Moon-Venus opposition on Monday may make us feel distant to those we love. Yet, compassion infuses us with understanding and acceptance of others. With the Moon in Pisces, we want to imagine and create.
Tuesday is a soft, dreamy, inspiring day as the Pisces Moon conjuncts Neptune. Mercury enters Leo, inviting a playful mind for the next two weeks.
Bounce out of bed Wednesday morning and get moving. The Aries Moon is fiery and initiating, making a trine aspect with the Leo Sun. We are confident and courageous, and can make a lot of things happen. Step out and make the day count!
Thursday sports a Mars-Jupiter opposition, encouraging us to take strong steps in our fitness regime, or any other goals we strive to attain. We are optimistic and empowered. Dysfunctional relationship issues may confront us, and we can address them courageously. Mars moves into Virgo, moving us toward practical matters that will benefit from a dynamic push to create more order in our lives during the next six weeks.
Venus aspects on Venus’ day, Friday (Viernes), help us to address relationship issues. The Moon moves into its exaltation in Taurus at 1:07 p.m. PDT, ushering in a sensual weekend designed for the enjoyment of good food, music, and beauty.
Saturday the Taurus Moon lights up the ongoing Saturn-Uranus square, giving us another thrust toward change in our lives. The Moon squares Saturn and conjuncts Uranus. Tend to practical matters, your home and garden, and make your surroundings more beautiful.
On Sunday the Taurus Moon makes numerous weighty aspects. Saturn opposes the Sun and Mercury, possibly resulting in feelings of frustration and limitation. At the same time, limitations can also force focus. The Moon makes a benefic trine to Pluto, a powerful, driving aspect that can fuel productivity. Lean in and make this day count.
Monday starts with a hard, pushy edge as the Gemini Moon squares Mars. As the day wears on we relax into easier energies (Moon trine Saturn; Venus trine Uranus). There may be a surprising twist or turn.

Moon Void-of-Course: This is the time when the Moon makes its last major angular aspect with a planet before it moves into the next zodiacal sign tropically. This void time, when the Moon is not aspecting a planet, but rather floating on its own, is a time when things don’t come together and it is difficult to make good decisions. Purchases made during void Moons often turn out to be unsatisfactory and not work out. Appointments often don’t come together, and meetings don’t result in progress or sound, lasting decisions. We more easily get lost or meander in trying to get somewhere. The VoC Moon times for the next month are listed below so that you can plan meetings, decisions, and purchases at times when the Moon is not VoC; and use the void times for gardening, reading, and routine task work.
