In the Stars February 26-March 5, 2023 . . . Shining Light on the Astrology of the Week

The Sun now shines in Pisces tropically. Pisces draws us to symbolic themes of inspiration, imagination, vision, compassion, and service. Let your creative juices flow!

Venus and Jupiter are conjunct in Aries. Love for adventure is amplified. Mercury and Saturn are conjunct, exact on Thursday in the last degrees of Aquarius. This aspect is good for problem solving, writing, and editing.

Mars continues Out of Bounds (OOB) until May 4th. Planets are OOB when their declination is more than 23 degrees, 27 minutes. When planets are out of bounds their energy is wild, unique, and extraordinary. The planet expresses itself unbounded, or without limits. People may be much more courageous and outspoken than usual. Because Mars is explosive and impulsive, volatile energy may be unleashed.

Early Sunday morning we feel the demand of work to be done with Taurus Moon’s square to Saturn followed by a Moon-Pluto trine. Get up and get this day started early, taking care of business. The Moon moves into Gemini at 7:47 a.m. PST, inviting us to take an excursion to explore a place about which we have been curious. Take time to connect with siblings.

Ideas abound on Monday, an active day inviting curiosity and conversation. Use the restless feeling to put some attention on a variety of projects.

Tuesday, the last day of February, invites us to express our creative talents. We may feel the weight of a mentally stimulating day. We are ready to relax at home in the evening and settle into the comfort of the Moon’s ingress into Cancer.

Wednesday, the first day of March, holds a generous splash of pleasure from the Venus-Jupiter conjunction. A benefic Sun-Moon trine encourages us to express kindness and compassion. However, the Moon’s tense square to Venus and Jupiter may tamp down some of the exuberance.

A Mercury-Saturn conjunction in the anaretic (last) degree of Pisces occurs on Thursday, drawing us into serious thoughts and conversations. A Moon-Neptune trine in water signs Cancer and Pisces respectively make us sensitive to the needs of others.

The Moon opposes Pluto just before it moves into exuberant Leo, exaggerating emotions. Venus conjuncts Chiron, calling up wounds and offering reflection for personal healing. Leo is the sign symbolizing playfulness, and as it ushers in the weekend, a gathering on Friday or Saturday night would be blessed by the warmth of the Sun, Leo’s ruling planet.

Saturday is a sunny day graced by the glorious trines of the Leo Moon to Jupiter, Chiron, and Venus. A Moon-Uranus square may bring something surprising! This is a day to play with your children or grandchildren. And party in the evening!

Sunday is another fun weekend day to enjoy, lit up by the Leo Moon. By Sunday evening the Moon opposes Saturn, drawing us toward our responsibilities. Then the Moon moves into Virgo at 7:18 p.m. PST, giving focus for making our “to do” list and planning the work week ahead.

Monday and Tuesday are the clean-up days of the month, heralded by the light of the Virgo Moon. Monday the Sun makes a benefic sextile to Uranus, making it a day to do things differently. Let your intuition be your guide.

The Week in Short:

Sunday: Tend to business early in the day, and then take an excursion. Connect with siblings.

Monday: Busy, restless day inviting short attention on a variety of matters.

Tuesday: Mentally stimulating day. Relax into a comfortable evening at home.

Wednesday: Compassionate, exuberant, pleasant day.

Thursday: Serious thoughts form; compassion builds. ‘

Friday: Feelings run deep, and old wounds may surface to address. Yet, playfulness and exuberance are in the air.

Saturday: Sunny, playful day, perhaps with diversions. Party in the evening.

Sunday: Another fun day of recreation. In the evening, plan the week ahead.

Monday: Get your life in order. Do things differently and let intuition be your guide.

Moon Void-of-Course: This is the time when the Moon makes its last major angular aspect with a planet before it moves into the next zodiacal sign tropically. This void time, when the Moon is not aspecting a planet, but rather floating on its own, is a time when things don’t come together and it is difficult to make good decisions. Purchases made during void Moons often turn out to be unsatisfactory and not work out. Appointments often don’t come together, and meetings don’t result in progress or sound, lasting decisions. We more easily get lost or meander in trying to get somewhere. The VoC Moon times for theext month are listed below so that you can plan meetings, decisions, and purchases at times when the Moon is not VoC; and use the void times for gardening, reading, and routine task work.
